Unmanned Air Vehicles

One of the applications in which the SAC group is working is in the control of unmanned air vehicles (helicopters and quatri-motors). The applications of this type of developments are very varied. The group has a UAV helicopter (1.5 m. of length), another of radio control (1.1m) and three more of small dimensions (<0.3m). These  last four helicopters are potential UAVs.

The innovative subjects in this application are the increase of autonomy and the coordinated movement of UAVs networks, in order to be able to apply it, for example, to the landing in mobile surfaces (boats) or to the remote control of small vehicles through bigger ones. This implies to go deep into the knowledge of the model, its uncertainty and/or combination of the control with the artificial vision. This type of applications have all the characteristics of the complex problems: MIMO, non linears, variants, ....
