Objectives

DAMADICS concerns the development of on-line diagnostic tools for application in the power, food processing and chemical industries. The research and training will focus on the development and integration of a wide range of faults diagnosis techniques within the framework of real application for a sugar factory. The study will include an investigation into fault diagnosis methods for valves (and others) plant actuators with a view to extending the capability of intelligent actuation systems.

CS2AC-UPC contribution

The research group has actively participated in the project developing new diagnostic and fault detection  tools based on uncertain parametric models of pneumatic actuators from sugar factory. These tools have been compared with other detection techniques developed by other research groups.
